I’m Annelie Vaes, a Belgian illustrator and graphic designer with a strong background in visual arts. I graduated with a Master in Graphic Design, specializing in illustration and printmaking, from KASK in Ghent. My educational journey also includes a pedagogical Master’s degree in Visual Arts from UGent & KASK, which has enriched my practice with a deeper understanding of art education.

Since completing my studies, I have worked on a range of creative projects, including exhibitions, print media, and visual content for various cultural events. I’ve had the opportunity to showcase my work in numerous galleries and festivals.

Today, I create illustrations for magazines, cultural organizations, and exhibitions. My work is rooted in storytelling, combining traditional graphic techniques such as etching and monotypes with digital media.
